George Foreman Healthy Cooking Grill
Our George Foreman healthy cooking grill delivers the signature fat-draining performance that made indoor grilling a kitchen staple. The sloped cooking surface channels excess grease into the removable drip tray while the dual non-stick plates sear proteins and vegetables in minutes.

The signature angled cooking plate is the heart of our healthy cooking system. As proteins heat, rendered fat flows naturally toward the front channel and into the drip tray—no scraping or tilting required.

Ceramic non-stick plates and cleanup
We coat both cooking surfaces with a ceramic-reinforced non-stick finish that releases food without added oil or butter. Burgers, marinated chicken, and even delicate fish lift cleanly after cooking, leaving minimal residue on the plates.
Both plates and the drip tray detach from the base for dishwasher cleaning. If you prefer hand-washing, warm soapy water and a soft sponge are enough—the ceramic surface doesn’t hold onto baked-on proteins the way older Teflon coatings sometimes did.

What you can cook on this grill
The 60-square-inch surface fits two chicken breasts, four burger patties, or a family-size portion of sliced vegetables at once. We built this model for weeknight dinners—proteins that cook in 6 to 10 minutes and need minimal prep.
Grilled chicken thighs come out with crispy skin and tender meat in about 8 minutes. Salmon fillets hold together and develop a light char without sticking. Pressed sandwiches and paninis flatten evenly under the weighted top plate, toasting bread while melting cheese inside.

Common questions about the Healthy Cooking Grill
Independent testing shows the sloped surface drains up to 42% of fat from quarter-pound burger patties compared to traditional pan-frying. The exact amount varies by protein type and fat content—chicken thighs and ground beef see the most noticeable reduction, while lean fish or turkey show less drainage because they start with minimal fat.
Yes, though cooking times increase by 3 to 5 minutes for frozen proteins. The grill maintains consistent heat even when cold food touches the plates, so frozen burger patties and chicken breasts cook through without scorching the outside. Just don’t stack frozen items—lay them flat in a single layer for even heating.
Both cooking plates and the removable drip tray are dishwasher-safe on the top rack. The ceramic non-stick coating won’t degrade in the dishwasher. If you prefer hand-washing, warm soapy water and a soft sponge clean everything in under two minutes.
The hinge accommodates up to 2.5 inches of clearance between the plates. Stuffed chicken breasts, thick pork chops, and double-stacked sandwiches all fit comfortably. Anything taller than 2.5 inches won’t let the lid close fully, which reduces heat contact and extends cooking time.
Four to five minutes from cold. The red indicator light turns green when both plates reach 400°F and you’re ready to cook. This preheat time is consistent whether the grill was just unplugged or has been sitting unused for days.
No—the ceramic non-stick coating releases food without added fat. Most proteins and vegetables lift cleanly after cooking. If you’re grilling very lean fish or want extra browning, a light mist of cooking spray won’t hurt, but it’s not necessary for non-stick performance.
We recommend silicone, nylon, or wooden utensils to preserve the ceramic coating. Metal spatulas can scratch the non-stick finish over time, reducing its effectiveness. If you do accidentally use metal once or twice, the coating is durable enough to handle it, but consistent use will wear it down faster.
