The George Foreman GrillKnocks Out The Fat.
One press. One tilt. That’s the George Foreman Grill — the signature sloped plate that drains up to 42% of the fat while it sears steaks, burgers, chicken, and panini in minutes. This is the machine that changed how America cooks at home.

Three Kitchens The George Foreman Grill Was Made For
We build for the weeknight cook who wants dinner in ten, the household counting calories without counting flavor, and the apartment kitchen that never gets an outdoor grill.
The Weeknight Cook
You get home at 6:30. Dinner needs to happen by 7. Preheat the grill, close the lid on two chicken breasts, set the timer, and plate — no flipping, no smoking pan, no scrubbing later.
The Lean-Eating Household
Meal-prep Sunday, protein-forward plates, and a real interest in what’s dripping off the food and what’s staying on it. The sloped plate does the work for you — the fat slides into the tray, the sear stays on the meat.
The Apartment Griller
No balcony. No propane. No fire code fights. Plug in a George Foreman Grill on the counter, get real grill marks on burgers and salmon, and keep the smoke to a whisper.
What Makes A George Foreman Grill Cook Like A George Foreman Grill
The sloped plate, the dual-contact heat, the removable plates — three engineered pieces that turn a countertop appliance into a real grill.
The Angle That Started Everything
George Foreman grills tilt on purpose. The plates run at a patented angle so grease and fat slide off the cook surface as the food sears, straight into the removable drip tray — up to 42% of the fat, gone.
The result is meat that browns instead of boils in its own drippings. You get grill lines, a real crust, and a plate that isn’t swimming in oil when you sit down.
- Patented sloped grill plate design
- Removable dishwasher-safe drip tray
- Up to 42% fat drained off during cooking
Cooks Both Sides At Once. No Flipping.
Every George Foreman Grill fires heat from the top and bottom plates simultaneously. Close the lid on a burger, a boneless chicken breast, or a pressed panini and the food cooks from both faces at the same time.
That’s how the George Foreman Grill cooking times get so tight — burgers land in 4 to 5 minutes, chicken breasts in 6 to 8, salmon fillets in 5, panini in 3. Fast enough for a school night, hot enough for real sear marks.
- Simultaneous top and bottom heating
- Ready-to-cook signal light on every model
- Cooking times cut roughly in half vs. a skillet
The Reason People Actually Use It Twice A Week
A grill that lives on the counter has to be easy to clean, or it lives in the cabinet. Our removable-plate models release the cook surfaces with a single button — plates come off, go straight into the dishwasher, and the drip tray follows.
Prefer the fixed-plate classic? The advanced nonstick coating still wipes clean with the branded grill scraper and a damp cloth. No soaking, no steel wool, no residue on tomorrow’s chicken.
- One-button plate release on removable models
- Dishwasher-safe plates and drip tray
- Advanced nonstick coating on every cook surface
What Owners Say After A Year On The Counter
Verified customers on the models above. Real weeknight cooking, real cleanup, real time saved.
“I’ve had a George Foreman Grill in three apartments now. This 4-serving with removable plates finally solved the only thing I ever complained about — cleanup. Plates come off, dishwasher, done.”
“Burgers in five minutes with real grill marks and a drip tray full of fat I didn’t have to eat. My cardiologist loves this thing more than I do.”
“Bought the indoor/outdoor GGR50B for our small patio. Feeds the whole family and I don’t have to run out for propane the night before every cookout. Chicken thighs turn out unbelievable.”
Straight Answers About Your George Foreman Grill
Cooking times, cleanup, plate replacement, indoor vs. outdoor — the questions our customer service team hears most often.
A:A standard beef burger patty runs 4 to 5 minutes on a preheated George Foreman Grill for a medium finish. Because we cook from both plates at once, there’s no flipping — close the lid, set a timer, and pull them off when the timer goes. Frozen patties add roughly 2 to 3 minutes.
A:On removable-plate models, unplug the grill, press the release buttons, and wash the plates and drip tray in warm soapy water or the top rack of the dishwasher. On fixed-plate classics, wait until the grill is warm (not hot), lift residue with the branded grill scraper, then wipe with a damp cloth. Never submerge a fixed-plate cook unit unless it’s specifically the submersible model.
A:Fixed-plate grills — like the classic 2-serving and the Lean Mean Grilling Machine — have plates bonded to the heating elements. They heat fast, sear great, and clean with a scraper. Removable-plate grills unclip the cook surfaces so you can put them straight in the dishwasher. If you plan to grill more than twice a week, removable plates are the upgrade most owners tell us they’d make again.
A:Yes. The GGR50B and other indoor/outdoor models are engineered for both — bring the grill inside on the tabletop for weeknight cooking, or mount it on the included pedestal stand outside for cookouts. The domed lid, larger cook surface, and higher wattage on those models give you real backyard-grill performance without propane or charcoal.
A:Genuine George Foreman grill replacement plates, drip trays, and scrapers live in our Accessories & Parts collection. Match the part to your model number (printed on the base plate underneath the grill) and you’re set — swap-in is tool-free on every current model.
